Masuimi Max, Beverly Hills 2001
This was the first time Masuimi and I shot together. We had met and taken a few snapshots (one of which made it into my second book “The Beauty of Fetish: Volume II”) at a lingerie convention in Las Vegas a few months prior. We shot this at my friend Dave Naz’s place (I’ve shot there many times). I believe it was fairly cold at the time, and Masuimi proved she was indeed a sport and braved my cruel demands.
Gina Velour, Chicago 1997
Another image of Gina Velour AKA Marne Lucas taken the day after our shoot in the financial district. I was hired to shoot the poster art for the Chicago Underground Film Festival that year, and this was my concept of having Marne posing with a super-8 camera as if it was a weapon. We shot a lot of great imagery with this theme but unfortunately they picked a very boring shot for the promotion in my opinion. Styling by me, and make-up by Mark Katz.
Racine, Las Vegas 2000
I went to Vegas with my good friend/collaborator Marne Lucas (AKA Gina Velour) for the 2000 AVN convention. Racine, who lived in Marne’s hometown of Portland, joined us for the visit. We shacked up in one of the last ’60s era motels on the strip, the La Concha. The motel was eventually demolished to make room for the Wynn. A complete shame.
Caroline Aquino, Los Angeles 2006
I’ve seen a lot of unauthorized versions of this shot floating around on Tumblr so I thought I’d put the original image by the original creator up here.
Concerning the photo, this was a candid out-take when I was shooting Caroline Aquino in 2006. I never really noticed it until years later when I was going through some old files. The quality of some photos isn’t always apparent right after I take them. They need to age like a fine wine, or something.
